PROJECT OVERVIEW
A rapidly growing retail chain with 50+ locations across India was running an outdated version of Odoo (v14) that could no longer keep pace with their expansion. Slow POS transactions, inventory sync issues, and lack of real-time analytics were costing them sales and customer satisfaction. Serynto was brought in to execute a full migration to Odoo 18 with POS optimization.
THE CHALLENGE
The existing Odoo 14 installation had accumulated years of technical debt — custom patches, deprecated modules, and inconsistent configurations across stores. POS transaction times averaged 45 seconds, causing queue buildup during peak hours. Inventory discrepancies between stores and the central warehouse resulted in frequent stockouts and overstock situations.
OUR SOLUTION
Serynto executed a comprehensive migration strategy: we first audited and cleaned all existing data, then rebuilt custom modules for Odoo 18 compatibility. The POS system was completely re-engineered with offline-first architecture, local caching, and optimized product search.
